7 More days until i fly out of Iraq, this deployment went so much faster then the last one and i'm glad it did... Can't wait until i'm back in Germany.

Brother. I was in Iraq for OIF II and I'll be back next month for OIF (whatever we're up to now). I agree. We are losing.
I keep in frequent contact with my military friends who go to Iraq and they tell me that nothing is changing.
I joined the Iraq Veterans Against the War group because I feel that we, as soldiers, are set up for failure. I don't know about you, but in OIF II, our orders basically boiled down to 1. Be seen and 2. Shoot if you feel threatened. As you know, you never *don't* feel threatened.
Anyway. Stay safe out there, bud. I went to Iraq with the 1st ID and will be going back with the 1st Cav. I'm stepping up my anti-war activism because I don't see us succeeding if we don't change our ways.
Very few people enlist with the sole purpose of dying for their country, and I can probably guess nobody enlists to die for Iraq.

It's so boring here i don't have anything to to update. Less then 2 months left and hopefully i will go back to Germany, then go to vacation to Canada and have fun.

I haven't updated for a while...my patrol got hit by a roadside bomb again (that is 5 time for me) 2 days ago, no one got hurt or anything and i fucking hope no one gets hurt, we are too close to going back home for that to happen and i have a girlfriend and her daughter to go back to.

I moved to a new base and i should be here until i leave back to Germany, its ok, the only problem is that i have to walk forever to get anywhere which it sucks since is so fucking hot out there.
Been playing WoW for the past 4 days and it sure as hell helps pass the time here in Shithole country, 2 more months and hopefully i'l be back home.

I just can't wait until i get out of Iraq, i don't think i will ever be the same again after all what i have gone through this time around, it happened for while when i got back the first time, but this time i have seen, suffered, experienced way more then i did the first time around.

i have a coworker who feels that everyone should join the service and i tell him i cant devote that many years of my life to something that could send me to war and have me killed.
