Hey there lovelies :)
I hope you have all had a wonderful week! Today I am actually really sick with what I hope is just a chest cold! Ive been in bed all day and slacked on everything else so I decided at least I should do some blog homework!! Today I chose to tell you about my collections, because they make me happy, and hopefully that will make me feel better!!
I’m actually an avid collector of many things! I used to be one of those kids who hoarded everything, like special toys and even random things like rocks I liked, but thankfully I grew out of most of the weird stuff!! Okay I may still have some rocks, don’t judge me! I used to collect stamps, hockey and baseball cards, and those TY toys also, but these collections are ones I gave up for space in my closet, lol!
One collection that I still keep is books!! Very specifically Stephen King books, but I also have a few other classics! My best non-king book is “the ward of the king”, and it is pretty much an antique. I got this book when I was young and read it maybe a hundred times over the years! I also have of mice and men, the giver, into the wild, and any other book that I had to read in school. Some I have accidentally taken and later paid for, some I bought after because I liked them! Last time I counted I had about 140 books after a massive “why do I have so many doubles” downsizing.
Something I collect that is a little stranger is dolls, and not even age appropriate collectibles, but Monster High dolls. I really like them, and I stopped caring how childish that was a long time ago! I really don’t know why I like them so much, but I have about 25. I feel like that is way too many, so I made myself stop, but I can’t bring myself to get rid of them or even give them away. my favouite is named "Casta Fierce" and she is a super wicked witch who is obviously fierce.
I also have a pretty sweet coin collection! I like to collect Canadian quarters, and other coins from all over the world. When I used to work as a cashier, I would always keep change in my pocket to trade out for any cool coins from other places! I haven’t counted my coins in a long time, but I have a watch box full! This collection is probably my favourite! I couldn’t pick just one favourite coin!
I also collect the usual “girly” things like makeup, dresses, exes, random store loyalty cards and spam emails :)
