Who is good at cars?

My 2007 hyundai is doing a weird sputtering thing when i accelerate/back up etc. not all the time but regularly enough.... Whaaaaaat could be wrong with it? I'm taking it to be looked at today, but i wanna have a vague idea of what the problem could be before I go in.
