Question... I baught some tapers and plugs to gauge my ears to a zero. They are currently at a two and for some reason... I cant for the life of me get them in no matter how hard i try... i tried doing it in the shower and just plain shoving them in... I've sat there for like 45 minutes trying to push them in... has anyone else had this problem with zeroes being especially hard to get in? Are there any other options? Like how do professionals do it? I might go have them professionally done if they have an alternate method... but otherwise im not sure how to get them in

the way i did it is got some of the silicone plugs, fold them in half then put them in then, when they open they stretch ur ear. but u have to make sure you wash them a lot cause the silicone can cause infections if you dont keep it clean.

thats how i went up each gage since 00.

silicone plugs are hard to fold over and do that at smaller sizes but after 1/2in silicone is totally the way to go for a fresh stretch. I worked in a shop for awhile doing piercings and what i do is if u can get the taper all the way thru then you shouldnt have a problem. Let the taper sit in there for a lil bit and use some antibiotic ointment to lube the plug. And either by yourself or have a friend follow the taper with the plug (if there isnt a flare on one end, if there is you may need to use a 00 taper just to account for the flare which SUCKS!) I've done this technique alot and its quick and smooth. Thats about the best advice I can give ya. If ya cant do it yourself have a friend do it. but definately lube the taper and plug before you try just shoving them in. it seems like 2g- 7/16" are always a bitch once you get into bigger sizes its so easy its basically painless. Hope it goes well keep us posted!
