what a crazy wonderful past few weeks! I feel literally drained after a week off. Last night I went to a school reunion and saw all the kids from the 8 years of my/our formative lives. We were all so close and, I think, seemed to have a great time. It was so amazing to see 20 people 15 years later and still know them completely. I couldn't believe that we all were pretty much the same people we had left so long ago. Ah, to know people before learning how to give a shit about the rest of the people.
I don't think I've had a fun time like that in forever! What made it extra great was having a friend from the present along for the memory override to re-tell those hysterical (if only to yourself) anecdotes about who and you. My favorite part of it all is when I learn about things that happened within the memories of things I'd done.
Apparently, I knew what I wanted in 8th grade and wasn't making any lame-ass excuses to get it.

A friend of mine from college just emailed me out of the blues a few days ago. That was nice.
