"You have but centuries to your name, Lioncourt. What you yearn for cannot be given, it can only be throughout your own development that it is earned. Even you are not immune to material need. The books can be lakes too. Conceptualize a grander structure that grows as we grow. Language is inherently dynamic in its linear form, but in its temporal form, evolution wishes creation yet takes a vast amount of time to self-realize that creation need not predate evolution. Think of both as a symmetrical process. Trees, flowers, even the very forces of the biosphere themselves. Wind lacks visibility but not sensation and now, poetry and emotion. Observe and absorb the inherent will and bidding of the inanimate and you will resolve your own conundrums. Everything simply is, and you have overcome your first challenges rather well. Alas, if you truly want to comprehend a perpetual, meaningful existence it is essential that you submit conscious will to the responsibility of the palace itself and let what shall unfold do so of its own nature. At its truest nature, free of the bias of individual reckoning, a collective Paradise is merely a shared Will. The growth cannot be forced, and the disarray and discomfort of evil can only be pruned so far. To eradicate it altogether would deny humanity its most precious lesson; to understand benevolence is to gainsay a necessary understanding of malevolence."

This is not easy. Not at all. But I ask the same questions of myself everyday and put myself in places far more vulnerable than most do and ever could. To do so is madness, but it is a necessary madness. Misantrophic empathy is a contradiction in terms, but it is so necessary. The question of God cannot be treated as a pre-existent condition.
