The Killers show was a blast. I didn't care so much for the opening act though. I can't remember his name, but he was some 20 year old blues player who thought he was BB King. He looked more like Kurt Cobain.
It rained on us almost the entire time we were in Wichita. Nothing like adding a little stress to the drive. Oh yeah, our car almost broke down on us on the drive home (at 1 AM) and we just about had to spend the night on the side of a deserted highway. Instead, we made it to the Motel 6 in Salina and had IHOP for breakfast.

Fleetwood Mac - The Dance
"Fleetwood Mac's 1997 reunion could have been the kind of event that works on video--great concert, after all--but ends up not paying off in repeated listenings on CD. But The Dance, while concentrating on the group's '70s and '80s triumphs, finds the Mac energy running high and impassioned. New songs like "Temporary One" and "Bleed to Love Her" are fine additions to the canon, while "Everywhere" and "Say You Love Me" both breeze along the way you remember them and manage a reinvention in the live setting. The dark side of the vision is accounted for with Lindsey Buckingham's crazed solo "Big Love," but best of all is "Silver Springs," wherein Stevie Nicks tears the roof off the sucker and sets fire to the rubble." --Rickey Wright (Amazon.com)
I always knew who Fleetwood Mac were, but was never too into their music. That changed the year this album came out. I have always been a fan of live cds, but the amazing vocal quality and musical talent blew me away. The way the band sounded now (especially Lindsey Buckingham), and the way the style had matured over time, made my jaw drop.
The only issue I have with this album is that "Go Insane" and "Gold Dust Woman" were not included. They are on the DVD version, but were omitted from the album due to running time. I have hopes that a special extended two-disc edition will be released some day.
