How the hell do you get over a fear of dogs that you've had since you were little?!?!?

I've had the fear for as long as I can possibly remember....and its killing me!

It really does interfer with my life.

I don't go into family member's houses because they have dogs and same with friends....I know they can sense when you are scared, but even when I'm not afraid of the dog, I still get bit!

So anyways, tonight I drove 29.5 miles and paid a 50 cent toll to go see a guy. This guy has a dog. No one else is home and he can't leave the dog alone. SO, I drive 29.5 miles back to my room.....

I feel like such an asshole.....
