I was supposed to take part in a habitat for humanity build this morning, but I fell asleep last night unexpectedly, without looking up directions for the build and without setting my alarm. I actually fell asleep in the middle of a movie with all of my clothes on and my halloween lights still plugged in. I didn't wake up fully until about 10:30 (about two and a half hours after I should have been there). It was completely uncharacteristic of me, and I feel incredibly guilty (which is completely characteristic)!

So instead of helping save the world, I went shopping. Fucking consumerism!

Macskander looked much more pimpish before I pulled out the camera. This looks a tad bit more along the lines of sheepish.

I didn't really get anything else for my steampunk costume except remnant fabric to make my skirt. That is going to be quite a task if I do what I would like to do with it. Other than that, I bought quite a few things for my classroom. I really shouldn't spend so much money on school, but it is too much fun. I got all sorts of neat, gooey, slimy things to add to my "Classroom Store" and the science center. Oh well. At least I'm getting a bonus next month... that was rumored to not come this year.

Meet my new roommate, Spot... I found him watching me shower the other day. Then when I got home, he was perched above my skull mirror ready for a peak at me taking a piss. He's a dirty little bugger.


Tomorrow morning--actually, in a few hours--I will be getting up to make pancakes with a group of my friends before one of them leaves to return to India for six months. I really need to start traveling more. I'm getting a little antsy again.
