So I decided to write a poem explaining all the things I can't do right now. a.k.a i'm captivated



"Save The Pandas!"

The world's been down for so long I've forgotten how to breathe
When cold nights leave me empty in a bed that's not for sleeping
I found peace within the shadows and the flicker of my candles
But the flame you burn shines right through the darkness [to my heart]

I've been sailing along the rough seas; battling monsters from the deep
Through the shallow waters I am swimming for an answer; the escape
And with the antidote you feed me from your precious lips to mine
I'm freezing but it's not cold enough for you to make me warm

In that bed alone I said the words I meant and needed
"It's like I'm falling faster than gravity can pull me"
With my calm and sincere words please take them for all its worth
"You've got me strung so high my head is in the clouds"

Sometimes life throws your curve balls for you to slam over fences
Maybe once in your life you'll get the chance to do so too
With you I'm finding the answers, getting my share of fair hits & runs
Though no scoreboard here could light up the winning words like you

So I stay upside down and let the blood resurface to my head
I need to be ready to take down the men so cruel and sick
The bed grows weak but maybe I'm the one who's caving in
Time to get serious saving Pandas ain't no trick cause I'm for real

Late nights in March after work used to be just nothing
But now I hope each night from now on to be never ending
This can't be real but I know what's really happening
We're falling for each other faster than we can try and break perfection
