today I crawled out sloooooooowly from my cave afraid of what the waking world might hold. Email was clear. Voice mail also clear. Time for our hero to not drink again for a while. I went running around Green Lake tonight (3.5 miles or so) as part of my penance for being such a slacker lately. I haven't been on my bike since early December. The hills here would eat me right now. Sissy. You see -- my biz trip ate my soul. Thankfully, I have a spare. Like all spares, you don't want to ride on it for too long and you really can't go as fast as you do with your full size soul. It sucks because I'm really used to going fast. this 3/4 soul starts to flap in the wind when I get up around 45 mph. Let me step up to the podium for a moment here and suggest that everyone should have a full size spare soul at the ready. People are selling them all the time around your city. Just go down to the tall shiny buildings and approach the first person you see in a business suit...
