Well here I am today. Yipee. It's day four of holiday and I don't know what to do today. I'm a bit off this morning. Last night, was a drinking night. Found some good light rum, and we spent some time testing mojito variations. And yes, I'm sorry to say playing games.
Okay, so yes I have been getting out, but... it was a long day yesterday. Went down to the ocean, spent some time wandering the stores and such. What made it special was the way I got there. I figured with about 100,000 km a year on my truck, I've seen all the roads that lead to the beach but... I've never taken Pacific Coast Highway. Or, as some call it, Highway 1. I drove it from well north of Los Angeles all the way down near San Onofre. Mostly, it's a 1- or 2-lane street going thru all types of scenery (residential, commercial, sometimes industrial, passes a few ship yards, and open countryside) with a decent speed limit when it's safe, but because it runs into a military base in San Onofre (and a nuclear power station) it forces you to get onto the major Interstate highway. I figured that's as good a time as any to turn home. So I did. Got home, 'bout 9 at night and that's when the drinks flowed for an hour or two. Was nice to have play time.
And yes, sadly because of my little drive (and some others had stayed late at work) high tea has been pushed back to today. Whatever it is I do, I must be in nearby La Verne by 4 ish. But I don't have much yet for today. I was a bum last night and didn't pick a destination. May try and go to the stores, as there are some errands and such I must run. Petrol being one of the major ones. Heh. Anyway...
Off to the fun!
