So I just drove in from New Jersey, and boy does my ASS HURT. So I just went on a road trip from Madison, Wisconsin out to Red Bank, New Jersy and back in 2 days. It was sweet. My friend and I went out to Pennsylvania to see Dave Attell (Comedy Central's Insomniac with Dave Attell) and decided since we were arriving east at about 5 am why not drive out to the shore and watch the sun rise? So we drove to New Jersey and upon arriving there decided why not go to Red Bank where Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash is? So we drove out to Red Bank which is right on the shore, went to the beach (which was fucking COLD), and watched the sun come up. We discussed looking for the Quick Stop from Clerks but couldn't remember what town it was in and had no clue how we would find it. Then we decided to go for a nice drive up the coast a little to wait for the comic book store to open. We took a nice long drive around some really beautiful scenery, got nice and toasted and tried to get back to Red Bank. hahahaha We were fucking LOST. We drove around New Jersey for about an hour completely lost, not being able to find Red Bank or any recognizable highway. We ended up in Leonardo, New Jersey (which we were too pissed off about being lost to remember is the town Quick Stop is located in). We were driving down some road, had no idea where we were and decided to turn around and go back the way we came. So we turned onto a side road and into a parking lot to turn around. We looked up, and we were AT THE FUCKING QUICK STOP. RST Video is right next door. Yes, we were there. It looked exactly the same as it did in the movie. Coffee machine's in the same spot. Even the eggs haven't moved. So we bought some stuff, got some pictures, and moved on. We managed to get back to Red Bank and to Jay and Silent Bob's. That was cool as hell. Bought a transmetropolitan book, my friend bought some comics and we moved on. We figured we might as well skip the Dave Attell show as we were both pretty broke and had definitely had our share of adventures. So, we started driving, got a motel in Pennsylvania somewhere, set off the fire alarm, got the fuck outta there, and got home. All in all, it was a kickass trip.
