It seems as though I only post on my blog whilst doing laundry. Weird!
Things are going alright today, I guess. I think I'm fighting off a bit of a cold, but I'm not really sure. My only symptom is my cough so maybe it's just all the black mold from my last apartment finally being expelled from my lungs. Well, that's what I'm hoping it is anyhow - I've gotta work on Saturday night so I don't want to be sick!!!!
This morning and last night kinda sucked. I drank a little bit too much and got myself in a bit of trouble with a friend. Nothing majorly terrible - I just have a bad habit of saying a little too much when I'm inebriated. The funny thing is, I was just trying to say something nice but it was completely taken out of context. When I tried to explain I was just yelled at and told to leave. Then I tried to explain that it was 3:30 in the morning in a really bad part of town and there were no busses and it's a $100 cab ride home. Of course reasoning with an insulted drunk is typically pointless so I started packing my laptop and personal affects when he threatened to call the cops. I briefly considered taking him up on the offer as it would have meant a nice hard concrete floor to sleep on. I've never been in the drunk tank before. When I thought about my potential "room mates" I decided that hanging out under an awning somewhere might be preferable and just as warm. As I went to open the door and leave my "friend" had a change of heart and offered to let me stay till morning.
Things were going okay in the morning until we discovered that the towel rack in the bathroom had been broken. I guess I pulled the door open really hard and it hit the bar knocking it off as I was getting ready to leave. Admittedly, I did a fair bit of banging around after I was told to leave. I was drunk and pissed off. I had absolutely no intentions of ever speaking to this person again after he called me a few choice words and told me to leave in the middle of the night so I wasn't too concerned about making a little noise. That's the only thing I can really think of that could've happened to it. Unless he grabbed it at some point at then forgot, but if that were the case he wouldn't have left it on the floor. So that being said, I've gotta take a bus and train trip that takes over an hour to go over there and fix it tonight before his family comes over tomorrow.
On the bright side, a theatre downtown is playing Fight Club tonight at 7:00. They've got a deal on too where $10 pays for your admission, popcorn, and pop! Now I just need to find a date! :-P
