Ugh. Today was teh suck. It was super busy at work today and my hand hurt even worse than it did yesterday! I nearly cried driving to work it hurt so bad. So I took some fancy anti inflamatory medicine when I got to work - and was stoned for a few hours. I've never had medicine affect me so terribly. I felt sick to my stomach, tired, awake and ... well stoned. Uck. Not good, especially since I'm doing accounts receivables, reception, customer service/sales and training our new warehouse employee.
Finally, lunch time rolls around and I ask my boss if I can take a little extra time to go to the doctors - but I couldn't drive there because I was still feeling dizzy and weird from the meds. He said sure and offered to pay for my cab there and back. Yays! No walking in the cold!
The doctors appointment went alright. Turns out I've got more than a little sprain. Apparently, it's tendonitis. The doctor told me I cannot use my right hand at all until it's healed and that I will need physiotherapy in order to get back to normal. I filed my workers comp claim and headed on back to the office to finish of the work day.
I'm dreading driving in again tomorrow. I have to go to work though. I'm the only one that knows how to do the year end work to be sent to head office. Well, aside from the REAL accounts recievables lady who is also injured at the moment and going to physio. I think my office is cursed. Nothing good ever seems to happen there.
On a happier note Rolls Right, our main courier company, brought Christmas presents for me. Okay, maybe some other people got some presents too. I got a bottle of cheap red wine. A 2004 Cabarnet Merlot from south eastern Australia. Not my favorite but I'm not complaining. This'll definately do the trick.
I also managed to convince my younger brother to do my laundry for me tonight. Lots of "my hand hurts" whining and "I'll give you 5 bux" bribing took place in order for this to happen. Who knows, maybe after my physio assesment I'll be told I cant work at all.
I ought to get injured at work more often.

That Cab Merlot from Aus should be good. There are some very nice Australian wines of that nature.
