Last night I went to a ska show.... or what i thought was going to be a ska show and man it just sucked, the bands had all changed the horns were more of an afterthought. the only funny part was when they "womanizing fuckers" came on stage and announced that all their shit had been stolen the night before... and then i announced that i believe in karma, ha....and i didn't bring my camera cus i thought i was gonna be skankin' all night, bah! why do ska shows suck so much in this area?

Held off as long as I could about your journal but my curiosity is getting the best of me. My ignorance of ska music is showing so I googled it. So is that closely akin to Reggae? What horns were they playing.... or should have they been playing?

Don't blame you for not taking your camera to the event. If it had been me, I'd probably have lost it or left it laying somewhere. Not a good plan.

Poppies are great. I have some of these hugh reddish orange poppies in the front yard along a fence. Not sure what kind they are. Every year they go just crazy, except when the rain hits them hard just before they are ready to bloom and that sometimes causes them to not pop out into bloom like they should. I've been clipping them off after their finished blooming to encourage further blooms.

I like your idea of putting a lot of them in a circle, sort of like a whole field of poppies. That should be great and I hope you get a lot of enjoyment from them.
