i got a new driver's license today. and of course the requisite stupid-thing-that-happens-wherever-i-go happened, in the form of my gender being listed as MALE on the first draft. when i pointed it out, everyone there thought it was soooo funny and were making wisecracks like 'hehheh, she's definitely not a male. but we should ask her to prove it."

mine are in florida, his are in north carolina. we just saw all of them at thanksgiving. not that i don't like them or don't want to see them, i just don't know how we'd choose-- or, how we could go to both places.
