Yay, I'm back! That was terrible.
So, here's what happened.
We finally have internet access at the apartment. Yay. I stay there half the week so I can get to school easier and go to Tae Kwon Do every night, then I spend the other half the week with my parents so I can go to work easier.
We also have two kitties! They're both little, fuzzy, grey tabbies.
One of them, Mozi (short for Mozilla...don't ask, fatherklyde named her. But she does, er, browse a lot), is a perfectly normal, well-adjusted kitty. She pays attention to more things than most other cats I know...she even notices the cursor moving across the screen. None of my other cats have ever cared. Well, it didn't take her too long to get used to me. She cuddles with us at night when she's not consoling her sister (read below), even though I'm always trying to snuggle with her Snuggle-Thing (fatherklyde) and she wants to be there instead. That's another thing; he's her Snuggle-Thing, I'm her Big Toy. Seriously, she thinks I'm just there to be played around with. She won't leave my hair, necklace, eyes, toes, and fingers alone! She's constantly crawling into my lap, whether to snuggle or attack me. It's really annoying because I can't tell the difference. If she climbs into my lap and I reach down to pet her, half the time my hand is met with a set of sharp, tiny teeth.
The other kitten, Mochi (I named her. I actually wanted to name Mozi that because I picked her out, but fatherklyde claimed her as his own and named her...for some reason. Cat stealer. They both have M names because they have little M's on their foreheads)...now she's not so well adjusted. Actually, she's not adjusted at all. The morning after fatherklyde brought her back to the apartment, she ran into a tiny hole under the kitchen cabinets and stayed there for three and a half days. We knew she was alive because she cried at night and came out and ate food when we weren't looking...but she wouldn't stay out here! Mozi went in to visit her sometimes and she came out and played with her about three times...but only if fatherklyde and I weren't there. We came home and found her under the futon once and we tried to plug up the holes with towels so she couldn't go back in, but we tried to grab her and she ran away and squeezed in past one of the towels.
This has happened twice so far. So that wasn't fun.
But apparently she sleeps on the futon with her sister now when she thinks no one else is paying attention, so there's some hope.
Also, school.
I just spruced up my How to Languish essay and turned it in for an English assignment. The teacher loved it, as did all my classmates that read it. Next I'm going to write about the three types of curly hair and I'm going to do my research paper on Tuvan throat-singing. Yay. I could write a book on that quite easily, so that's no problem. I also have to turn in a 4,000-word journal at the end of the semester and I've already finished half of it in two days, just talking about Toranea (the fantasy culture I made up). All I have to do is keep talking about it (and I can go forever!) and I'll be fine.
My Spanish teacher is from Spain and has the whole lisp-accent thing when she speaks Spanish. She said we could do that too if we wanted, so I will because I like it better.
I'm also taking a Guidance class and I have little to say about that except that it's three hours of sitting, aaaaah. I feel bad because this is the teacher's first time teaching this class and he seems all nice and enthusiastic but it's really, really hard for me to pay attention that long.
Okay, time to go look at all the sets I missed.
