The last month I've been a lil late about the homeworks, but tonight I watched It follows. And I don't want to write just to write if I don't have anything interesting to say. So, @lyxzen, @rambo, @missy, thank you and here we go for this Homework cross-over ! Many of my friends talked to me about it. They told me it was special, awesome and interesting. And that the OSTs were incredible. I just had to watch it.
This movie is about a young girl in the American suburbs who have sex with her crush then he prevents her that he saw to it to re-take off to hera kind of curse which makes that he's permanently followed by a human being who walks behind him, slowly, and tries to kill him. It can take the form of an unknown person or a friend... I found those horrific characters really scary the most important part of the time ! And not cliché at all in their aesthetic. Then Jay (the main character) tries to overcome this misfortune with her group of friends and her sister.
I'm pretty sure that most of us have felt more than once this oppressive atmosphere that something inivisble is around you and is kind of evil. I have never seen this sensation so nicely translated in a movie ! Nevertheless I watched many movies about this because I am very subject to this sensation and that fascinates me a little. There's an underlying disquiet thing wich renders you anxious for the heroin.
Also the music is absolutely brilliant. It's composed by Disasterpiece. He made the music of Fez, for those who know this nutcase's video game. Fez wouldn't be what it is without its musical atmosphere. It's the same thing for It Follows.
Bonus : I watched the serie United States of Tara and I was happy to see again the son, played by Keir Gilchrist. And the final scene (the last second is really enigmatic, don't wait for a clear ending) reminds me a lot this videoclip that I really like
