so like my husband said in his journal, our 12yr old started school today. He hasnt been in school since october and then im not sure how much he went before that. He seemed to like it but he is really having a hard time with homework. it is stressing him out that he doesnt get it. He gets so frustrated and will start cryin and fussing. His handwriting is horrible, not sure why but he writes all of his letter and and numbers from the bottom up, its such a mess. I really feel bad for him because i know this is gonna be really rough for him. he is only in the 5th grade and i know he is gonna have to go to summer school and possibly still have to repeat it. but he is such a good kid and i think he will be ok with our help. oh and we have temporary guardianship at least as far as the school and medical is concerned.

lady you and him are doing a very wonderful thing for that child...it will have its up and downs but you will get there in the end .......a lot of people would have walked away but you guys are standing by him and I really respect you for that ..sometimes all a kid needs is someone on their side and in you two he has that ..be very proud of what you are doing

you're doing a good thing. as to the boy, you just need to let him know that it's not his fault, but he has some catching up to do. let him know that you know he is a bright boy and he will get there eventually.
