I think writing her a letter is a great idea. You could also look into getting her some powerfully potent mace or something (that's what I always carry around with me). Of course, you'd have to look at the laws in LA and make sure she doesn't need a special permit or anything to carry some around (some states are weird about mace)...I hope that everything is alright with her *hugs*

I hate that, it reminds me of trying to get things done for my mum even though we knew where to go they didn't have a clue about what they were doing. I hope she gets it resolved quickly. Isn't there a resident's committee or something like that to oversee it?
