Outside the ancient crumbling chapel the jungle choked out all signs of the city this used to be. Vines covered the outer walls and seemed set to pull what was left of the old stones down with their weight. Even in the shadow of the canopy overhead the heat was opressive. Sweat covered the scales and hide of my companions, long before we even steped out into the underbrush. A constant sound filled the trees all around us, some unseen army of insects singing to the air. I swear the giant barbarian that's with us looks ready to gouge out her ears just to stop the infernal noise. No sign of the sky showed through the trees. I was amazed I could see beyond the reach of my arm.

How long had we been in that chapel?
How could a jungle this thick and tall grow from nothing while we slept?

No matter what the answers, I knew it was going to be a very long day.
