Well, I missed my chance with the girl I wrote about previously since she's seeing someone now. I suppose that's a stupid thing to say. Had she been interested in me in the same way this wouldn't have happened.

Anyhow, at least she got me involved in some things at school before we drifted in different directions. The short story I submitted for the school's literary magazine was overwhelmingly accepted, which encourages me to keep trying my hand at writing. And last Friday I was in a one-act play she wrote and another that one of her friends from class wrote, which were both lots of fun. Thanks to those, the head of the drama department asked if I'd like to be in some plays next semester, but I'm still debating it.

So everything's not candy and rainbows, but as usual, life could be a hell of a lot worse
