QUESTION OF THE DAY: DO YOU LOVE OR HATE YOUR JOB AND WHY? WHAT DO YOU DO?
I almost walked out on job number 1 today. I just couldnt take my boss any longer. I think he was pissed at me for taking work off yesterday when my son was sick (He still is sick
) He told me to dedicate my whole day to one project then about one hour into my day he wanted to see the progress on a different project. From there it just seemed to go down hill. He hit me with ad after ad and gave me a list of almost 200 phone calls to make. He wanted new account leads done also ...and all of this done by the end of the day. He came back around 1pm and asked if I had made all of the phone calls...and was pissed that I only had about 40 done. Serouisly, I couldnt do it. He also knows that I leave early on Tuesdays to attend a staff meeting for Job #2 (research based program for at risk children and their families). He also knows that the core of that program starts tomarrow and for the next 8 weeks I will be busting my ass doing double shift. He sent me home with about 8 hours worth of work and was just a real demanding asshole.
He is from Brazil, which probably means nothing and this will make me sound like a fucking biggot or something,,,,but he is in his late 40's or early 50's and he is very cocky. He also thinks women are not worth much...and he is very degrading at times...He loves to talk down to people...
ARRRR!!!
So now, I have ordered chinese food, made my sick little guy some soup and need to start in on my 8 fucking hours of work. I get to get up tomarrow and do it all over again.
I am starting not to feel well also, I have a pretty sore throat...I hope I am not getting strep.
I should just quit the advertising job and do something fun. Fuck the money...I hate the stress.
Now that I have bitched and complained ...I need to say a few nice things about my day...
Hmmm...I got new post its and they are pink with high heels on them...they made me laugh
My son drew me lots of pictures while he was home b/c he loves me so much.
I caught the new intern at work peeking down my shirt while bent over...then he blushed....this made me happy...b/c I am probably 10 years older than him....and then later he thought I was in my early 20's....
Or he just wants a good review and a job later...he is no dummy...he he he
