As I look out my office window I can see that the birds are gradually performing their changing of the guard. The dark and drab birds of winter are giving way to the brighter and more vocal birds of spring. Crocuses will follow, and then the daffodils and tulips.

Hopefully, the onset of warmer days will be accompanied by a lifting of people's spirits and a restoration of hope for the future.
