most blood banks that buy plasma and blood, have to make sure that there are no chances of disease, and that is why they ban bi sexual and homosexual blood donors, the reasoning behind manic, is because of the chemical difference in your body after giving blood, i wouldn't wanna deal with a happy blood donor who becomes a raging asshole by the time the procedure is over either!
and most of these policies started around 97 so it was post bush pre bush

It does kind of upset me that I couldn't go give blood, being bisexual. Just because you're of a certain sexual orientation doesn't mean that you sleep around more that someone who is completely straight. If anything bisexual and homosexual blood donors may even be safer because after full culture stereotyping of the past they are probably more likely to go get tested for any type of disease more often. I remember this one girl in my sex-ed class, now the girl was like 15 or 16 at the time and I'm only 19 now so that gives you an idea of how recent this was, was completely convinced that she couldn't get any sort of STD because she wasn't bisexual or homosexual. Seriously now... and these are the people that they say are perfectly fine to give blood. Right, whatever.
