After a day of paperwork, I had a lovely drink with some good friends. Fine fellows: good souls and interesting minds.

Most of my friends are atheists. I am not. I have no idea why. Since I was three I have always "felt" that there is "something" there. I can't explain it rationally.

Anyway, it struck me this evening that my sense of the divine...

It makes sense, but that's maybe because I'm a lot like that myself. I can't explain it, so I just call myself 'agnostic' and try to be a good person, though I play by my own rules. I sure hope it's enough for whatever (if there is whatever) comes after.

Absolutely Arroia!

This "thing" we feel doesn't give us answers or instructions, but it does feel us with a sense of awe and a desire to do good in our own little corners of the world.

On occasion, I can even love this presence, but it is hard. We don't have good training for it in the modern world.

One of my atheist friends says that he is happy I have this intuition, and he respects it as long as I don't try to convince him of the validity of my intuition. Fair enough. smilesmile

My theory about the mundane details has something to it! I have been going great guns on boring paperwork, and I feel...great. Happy.smilesmilesmile

Took a quick SG beauty break, and now I must return.

Thank you SG women for inspiration that holds up in the face of paperwork!!

I am often overcome by the knowledge that the secret to life might just be doing the little, boring tasks well: paperwork, administration, budgeting, housework, etc..

If we can LOVE doing paperwork and administration, I suspect that the Veil of Maya will fall away.

The Muse of the evening:

sinestesy.

The eyes of Isis and a mysterious smile.

Now to a new maxim.

Skeptical Maxim #345: Doubt is the beginning of freedom. Certainty the end.

I saw a few bunny tracks this morning, even though the snow is deep and it was cold last night. Bunny pictures will follow when I see them. I think that I know where their den is, but I don't want to disturb it.

Also, when the little critters come out, the hawks will begin to hunt in earnest. I hope to get a picture...

Hooorayyyy for the Muses who were on the featured blog for favorite hopefuls of 2013:

lud, cendres, jeckyl, fische.

Well deserved. Now, If I were a hopeful, I would have added some more names. For some reason, however, there are very few 40s-chubby-hairy-as-as-a-gorilla hopefuls. smilesmile Now that I am in my 40s, I may have to add "unwanted hair" to my profile...

Ah..Does the escutcheon on which the owl perches represent Croatia? I wondered what it represented.

I love tattoos that utilize both personal connections and symbols.

It was a SuicideGirls blog, I think. It was on the front page. If memory serves, you were cited more than once. I can't find it this morning!

Thanks for the job sympathy. I know it is a weakness of mine to wish for logic and reason in human institutions.

Aw thank you, I love when people say we look alike.
And I shall definitely try to make more eye contact with the camera. That's a lovely compliment though, thank you x

By the afternoon, the roads were clear and I could run some errands. I was driving home listening to Iron Maiden's "Aces High" and then it happened: snow in sunshine.

Sometimes, I really do believe that God Almighty loves us and wants us to be happy.

Another muse has appeared. A muse with gorgeous eyes and enigmatic expressions. Please give her all the love she...
