good weekend all around. friday i was desprate to get out of the house so i went to fuel and then to node. called peter up when i got to node seeing as how he lives just across the street. he used to work at the coffee shop i frequent in sheboygan and is always game for some backgammon. went home and accomplished a lot of shit on saturday, then snuck into the brown's show at riverwest commons. which was 21+. today i did a bunch more thrift shopping, bought some new shoes, went to see the Henry Rollins spoken word at the rave, and rounded the evening off with the goddamn over at johnson and iam's place. i am now listening to hey mercedes and looking forward to sleep. keep it real homies.

How does one sneak into a 21+ show? I need to learn that skill. And how to do it good.

I need to go shopping at thrift stores. I have no money to spend, but that's the fun of it when you gather up $25 worth of stuff. And you can justify it, too, because there are ten items making up that $25 which would normally cost probably over $100 new.
Except, my flannels have to be new. biggrin I need to go flannel shopping, too.. love

Dude! If you watch TMJ4 today, you'll see my famous flannel on tv! I was with my friend Sara and her friend on State St. yesterday and a reporter stopped us and talked to Sara's friend, and although you can't see me, you can see my flannel which means I was right next to her. Yay! eeek I'm SO not getting rid of this ever.

And I'm still up for coffeeshops, but for the next few days, I'm a bit busy because I have a paper due next week that I should start.. whatever

Every morning when I wake up I wonder the same thing. It's really surreal to be here. It's been a dream of mine since I was 12 to move to the midwest (we'd visit family in the twin cities during summer vacations). For some reason the natural beauty as well as the bizarrely caring/agreeable nature of the people here was shocking compared with the complete indifference I'd been accustomed to in California.. It's hard to describe the extent to which no one gives a shit about anyone/anything else other than their self-interests. Sometimes I'm happy I moved and other times I regret it. But most of the time I believe I made the right choice. Wisconsin is quality........
