Upon completion of the round of sixty-five, I have:
Selected twenty-five first-round winners. This is much, much better than usual. Priorly, I would have been dead in whatever pool in which I might be taking part, but, now...
Of those twenty-five, I have thirteen going on to the round of sixteen. Only Stanford, St. Mary's (Calif.), and New Mexico lost, of those I projected for...

This year, I shall have my first green beer.
Pray that it doesn't look the same going out and/or coming out as going in.

One more thing:
I saw (in large measure) the Pacifier, 'cause, as you well know, Vin Diesel has never let us down, cinematically.
As it is, though, I could not help but puzzle over the ONION's critic's opinion of Lauren Graham's performance. He cited her considerably chaste presentation as a negative, as though she (or any other actress, or any woman off-screen) is required to...

I think I "read" this site too often....
Yesterday, in perusing the local daily, I noted two occurrences of Suicide Girl related reporting. The first was front-page, an article about the return to school for a tenth-grader who survived a bat bite. She and her friend wore blue tee-shirts emblazoned with a Superman-styled logo, but labelled "sg" and not simply "s". It apparently stood for...

I mentioned I think rather subtly that if anybody gave up an offensive rebound in the second half theyd be shot, Knight said. The message seemed to get through, and I didnt have to shoot anybody. (From the Associated Press recap of the Texas Tech - Oklahoma Univ. semifinal in the Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament.)
This, is classic.
Now, I only can wish...

From Bloggermann (Keith Olbermann's weblog at MSNBC):
"I had an eminent sports orthopedic surgeon tell me in 1991 that the sudden demise of the career of a seemingly invincible ballplayer due to a rare blood vessel problem could only have been caused by a long-standing hereditary issue that should have affected every male in his family for generations, or by the...

In brief (though, oddly enough, I am not even wearing briefs, let alone my preferred boxer-shorts, beneath my very un-Hammer 'jama pants) update:
cleaning a screening-room this evening at my moonlight gig, I discovered a 10$ note among the content of my butler. So, drinks on me... Erm, I mean, meet me at Landmark, and I'll cover a pitcher or three of low-cost suds...

(Yet another) Johnny V's anecdote, this one more present:
stopped over for a late-night supping at the J-Five last nite, around one a. I ordered the grilled cheese deluxe, with ham AND bacon, and a Coca-Cola from a pleasant waitress of twenty ('Stallis native, who takes the Badger Coach back to town on weekends to work at her old high-school hang, and when she's not...

About a week ago, I ventured back to Johnny V's for the third time in a fortnight -- I think, officially re-christening me as a regular (after five years, or a bit more, apart) -- and prior to leaving, the host (who has been pulling third-shifts there since '98 or so) asked who it was with whom I used to eat there all the time....

i know that you wrote about ten thousand different thoughts in my journal but the only thing that i can respond to at this moment is the granholm comment. i actually have a picture with her. it's not really that exciting but her and her husband came to my theatre to have 'date night' and they stopped in backstage after the show. we got pictures of the cast and crew with her. if i was home i could scan and post it so you could see her in all her foxy hotness. alas i am not.
i am too swamped with work to write more. talk to you later.
