oh man. do me a favor, whenever you think that working in a record store seems like "cool as shit!", slap yourself x3. this is my 6th holiday season at my job, and boy do i hate people. im sure than 79% of you here can totally feel this. its so typical to bitch about the holidays isnt it? its like some fucking rite of passage into "adulthood". when we are kids we're all like "fucking yeah, christmas!" but it seems like every year it turns into "fuck....christmas". everyone is running around worrying about money, either spending it, or making it...its just sad.....thats the thing i miss most about being young(er). the ability to look past all that......or to have the freedom not to think about it......even jsut last year, when i was still in school, and jsut working part time, i may have been a little more stressed worry about money and FINALS. but it just seemed better then, less than a year later i have more bills than i've ever had, im always cranky, and just not happy a whole helluva lot......am i this jaded at 23? fuck. i hope not. i hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season. take care of each other. and please be nice the bearded, somewhat long-haired kids behind the counters....peace.
