Over lunch I was on the IMDB and discovered their top 100 movies list. This is what I noticed. I scored only 61% when I cross-referenced the list and my DVD collection. I though I'd score higher and although I know this is not a test I was ultimatlely a little dissapointed in myself. *sigh* Anyway the numbers are a bit misleading. It's not to say that some of the titles on the list I don't have... just that I don't have them on DVD. Things like Star Wars(7), Raders of the Lost Arc(15) and Goodfellas(34) I do have on VHS but who are we kidding... Like I'm going to dust off those awful tapes and watch them anytime soon. Hell, there is no comentary on VHS! I'm not saying I even entirely agree with this list. Where is Rushmore, Triumph of the Will, Nosferatu, Brazil, Dead Man, 8 1/2, or Wages of Fear... There are titles on here I wouldn't put on a top 'then' list... hell, Amilie deserves to be put before the Sixth Sense (Delecatesen deserves to be in front of both of them) but for the most part the IMDB list is really good. At least is isn't just another rundown of the AFI's top 100 AMERICAN films of all time. Anyway, for those who care here is the "Titiles on the IMDB top 100 that UH owns on DVD list".
