Hey, let's play a game!

It's called Things Alison Does Not Have, But Certainly Wishes She Had. You'll all love playing; I promise.

It goes like this.

Here's what I wish I had: One functional 14" G4 iBook with a working hard drive!

Here's what I do have: One not-so functional 14" G4 iBook, with a hard drive that decided it would be funny to shoot up the back corner of an alley and then crash like a motherfucker!

Here's what I wish I had: A few hundred dollars to spare!

Anyway, this just nullifies my process of desperately attempting to save money while working part-time and going to school. I talked to a friend of mine- an fancy Apple expert, in fact- and he went through my computer and told me that I need to buy a new hard drive, and that he doesn't trust his abilities enough to install it and re-format my lovely computron without insurance. Funnily enough (I know I'm sure as hell laughing right about now!), my warranty expired about two months ago!

Why this is relevant: I won't be around for a few days, until it's fixed. I'm using my roommate's computer right now.

I just worked for ten hours. People make me sad. My friend's father just passed away yesterday.

On the plus side, even though I'm flat broke, I just bought beer. It's Sunday, I don't work tomorrow, and I haven't eaten all day. I'm totally on board the "Getting Faced Tonight" express train. Crushboy #2 said he'd call if he finished his work early enough to hang out with me tonight, so we'll see about that.

I had such a shitty day! Doesn't it sound nicer when I put exclamation points in!?
