Fancy highrise desserts twice in two weeks, my oh my! Gin and blue curacao and cranberry juice. A martini glass exploding on the counter; nobody within twenty feet out it. I can't get over the weather right now. It's summer, I'm full of glee, I'm spending time with the people even more deliciously amazing than the ones I could conjure up in my imagination. There will be typewritten letters and art and dried flowers in the mail, but they're not going to replace the reality of facing the Pacific ocean with cigarettes and open bottles of wine in hand, laughing into the curling waves, our hearts as sailboats on the night wind.

But still, nothing lasts forever. Transience is the sole modus operandi. I can roll with that.

Been trying to pack and it only seems to make my place messier. I've thrown out so much more stuff than I did last time I moved. I mean, really- do I need movie ticket stubs from six years ago lingering around me? I should think not! C'mon, it's time to shed skin like a snake.
