On my way back from picking up a parcel yesterday, I was listening to Mitch Hedberg and chuckling a little to myself as I walked the sunny streets of downtown. A man stopped me, tapped on my shoulder, and said, "I just wanted to tell you that you have a very nice smile."

That grinning happiness has carried over into today, even though I'm running on a mere four hours of sleep and nearly failed my Latin test this morning.

I've got a place to live for May. It has a balcony and I'm delighted, because I've never lived on the ninth floor of a building before! The view is going to be marvelous, and I'll be living with a really good friend. We're going to make sushi and listen to fantastic music and lure people upstairs and into our bedrooms with the promise of a super-swanky place to spend the night.

All in all, I'm absolutely thrilled that this is happening. I'll be popping my "summer in Victoria" cherry, finally. Lovely!

A friend and I were discussing the other day whether or not it's a biological imperative to begin salivating when standing spitting distance above sidewalks. Sometimes, it sure does feel like it.

I just ate enough chocolate to kill a very small child.
