Breathe in.

I am not sleeping enough these days and my house smells like rice vinegar and school is going to weigh upon me within the next week with unexpected force and work is fine but I cannot stand the constant hum of fluorescent lights and sometimes I just want peace and quiet and I'm not finding the time to read that I'd like to and maybe that is because I'm utilizing the "free" (all time is free; don't kid yourselves) time I do have for ridiculous pursuits.

Breathe out.

I'm happy. Busy, but happy.

Dear Latin,

I apologize for neglecting you the way I have in the past while. I keep meaning to sit down with you, cuddle, pat your head, and let my brain eat you, but I really haven't been a very kind girlfriend. I've thrown you down on the bed and told you to sit still while I went out drinking. I've had sex beside you while you gazed on from my bookshelf. Sometimes I put you face down and expect you to breathe in blue carpet, lint, and dust. Occasionally I look straight at you, glare, and look away. I'm not usually all that skilled at the fine art of being standoffish, but it seems to come so naturally in our withering relationship!

I promise to be better to you. We will go for long walks in the park and have picnics on checkerboard blankets. Let's be eachother's reason for living- what do you say?
