i loved the seventies,
yes, the seventies,
some of my favorite things from when i was a kid...
seventies music ruled - ac/dc, kiss, led zep, pink floyd, the who, pistols, the clash, talking heads, ramones, cheap trick, judas priest, UFO, thin lizzy, alice cooper, the stones, van halen, the kinks, singer/songwriters - my mom and dad loved that shit, my cousin and play it when we get drunk and reminisce, jim croce, elton john, harry nilsson, etc.
great seventies movies that still hold up - bad news bears( i used to have the biggest crush on tatum o'neal), jaws, the excorcist, the godfather I & II, apocalypse now, mash, dog day afternoon, harold and maude, halloween, the jerk, taxi driver, one flew over the cuckoo's nest, dirty harry, texas chainsaw massacre, deliverance, close encounters, clockwork orange, billy jack, duel, up in smoke, willy wonka, young frankenstein, etc. you get the idea, god i love seventies movies, eighties movies were just so cheesy in comparison
roller skating - couples skate! used to get the biggest butterflies when i was gonna ask a girl to skate. i liked it better when the girls had to ask.
sneaking out and going to parties with lots of blacklight, making out, pot, slow dancing to beth by kiss
rocker girls - man, those painter pants and that feathered hair and half shirts and short shorts
cruising - i was a little young to drive but i remember going out with some older friends and cruising up and down 82nd ave in portland
which brings me to muscle cars and harleys - man those were the days of big engines and big tires
drive-ins, arcades(asteroids, galaga, pacman), atari, peechees, general seating concerts, PUNK ROCK!
just rememberin'
