i've found that the best part of Podcasting isn't creating the Podcast materials -- it's all the time you get to spend jibba-jabba-ing with other Podcast producers! everyone works in a slightly different way, and everyone has a slightly different take on the whole production process -- that means that if you talk to a bunch of people, you'll wind up with a bunch of different ideas and different methods for accomplishing pretty much the same thing -- and that allows you to pick the "best practices" and employ them in your work. also, it's just a kick when folks say, "What do you do?" and you can answer, "Multimedia production," and then you whip out your iPod and show them something you've made. usually if you tell them you're a multimedia producer, they assume you're a pr0nographer.
