let's see, whats going on?

i finally got the chevelle back on the road..here are but a few of the many things i had to have done after the car sat rusting away for the past few years:

new front calipers
all new brake lines
new master cylinder
tranny fluid lines
motor mounts
new radiator
rear springs
new headers
etc, etc...

i wish i knew how to do this stuff myself, maybe i could have saved a few grand, but fuck it. i had it done by someone who knows what they are doing and loves to work on old cars, it's all he does.
ooh! also got a nice set of old corvette rally wheels, the deep dish fuckers with original trim rings and caps...i've wanted these for years. i traded the late 70's honeycomb trans-am wheels that were on the car when i bought it.

next comes some electrical work, then a LOT of bodywork, and finally the interior. this car will never be a restored show car- always a driver, but she will look hot as fuck.

my end goal is flat black paint with white interior, possibly even a flame job somewhere down the line!

this, of course is going to be a long-term project spanning years, but in the meantime i can still drive her around and feel like a kid again. i'll get some pictures up here soon.

so, yeah, i'm feeling pretty fucking awesome.
