"Change is the answer when there is no question. Violent change is the answer when man attempts to stop destiny."
-- Vizier Seerbane

I don't know if you guys know about a comic book artist named Martin F. Emond. He did a book called "White Trash" which wasn't too popular but was just a mind fuck of a good book and stories. His Axel Rose looking Loco took shit to the next level like in the of Marshal Law, meets Mad Max, meets, Old school Metal. You can check his artwork out here.
The shitty news is he commited suicide this weekend. He memorial service will be this weekend in New Zealand. Here is theinfo
Before you think anything, I wasn't too lcose with him, or anything but long itme fan, who appreciated his work since I was a kid, and couldn't understand what happened. It sucks and saddens me, that so many in the business of ocmics get fucked over, and fell so alone when doing thier things. I guess, that's an underlying danger of this art thing, in any of it's forms, that you get depressed, because in essence your putting yourself on paper and people jsut don't care.
He was a fucking badass in my book and I will always dig him and always think highly of his work. I'll miss it too.
whatever

I've never heard of him before, but I'll check out his stuff. I like to think it's better for cats working in comics today--when Jack Cole commited suicide things were a whole lot worse. You could work and work and work and make the companies rich while you got no recognition whatsoever. Well, you can do that today, but at least there are more options.

They're not a perfect organization, but it's important to remember folks like A.C.T.O.R. are out there, helping people in the business when things get tough.
