Well, the strike was averted! WOOT! No lost wages! 
I can't say I am entirely happy with the solution they came up with the deal with the issues, but at least it a step in the right direction.
I really need to get off my ass and start using the better photo editing tools.. Even for little things like my profile pic.. The current one was taken yesterday(wed) morning just after I woke up, and I scaled it using the cheap tool that comes in windows xp... I really need to start using the better ones so I don't get that pixelation crap going on, making the pic look horrible.... I generally leave the camera in its highest setting, which gives me pictures as 3456x2304.. That way I have good quality to work with...
Woot #2: My sister and her boyfriend are going to be visiting from Calgary this weekend! Along with my dad and step-mother we're going out for a fancy dinner friday night, and then having lunch on sunday.. Not sure how much more I'll see them besides that since she has a lot of friends she wants to see as well... But at least I get to meet him.. They've been together for a couple years now, and just recently bought a house and it sounds like they will be getting engaged at some point... My dad has met him and thinks he's a good guy, but I have to look out for my baby sister.. The poor girl is only 30..
