Oh, and Vashti called! I'm gonna get my hoodie back! It was weird - she called when I was still in bed this morning, and the only call I was expecting was from Lotus, so of course I thought that's who it was. Then this kinda throaty female voice says, "Hey, Stranger! How's it going?" She always calls me Stranger, 'cause I've slept over at her place twice now and we don't really know each other at all. She literally hauled me into a cab within ten minutes of meeting her, the first time.
Anyway, I was all confused at first. Still sleepy and such. Thinking, "Who is this?" But then I figured it out, we chatted, and she said she'd bring my hoodie back today. She didn't, but I expect it'll appear in the next couple days or so. I also got her number. Vashti's deck as fuck.
Haaaa... just saw Adaptation with Lotus et al., and Charlie Kaufman's love life is so much better than mine - seriously. Bleh.
Going out for a couple beeers with my boss tomorrow night. Well, at least that was the plan before the superhuge crisis that got dumped in my lap at work yesterday. Not my fault at all, but I got stuck cleaning it up, and she said there was a very real chance that everybody from her on down would get fired, regardless. So she might not be in a drinking mood - or she might wanna get totally shellacked; dunno.
Any of you ever had an all-consuming passion for something (or someone) completely unattainable?
