So I get home from work yesterday morning, and my boss calls and asks me if I want to be promoted to supervisor.
"Uh, ok."
"Great. I bet you thought I only ever called to get drunk." (I really have no idea what she meant by that.)
"Uhhh..."
"Oh, speaking of which - oh, but you're working tonight, aren't you? I'm having a party at my place; you should call in sick and show up."
"Tempting, but I think my boss might find out."
"Honestly, your boss doesn't really care as long as you get your shift covered."
"Hmm... ok, I'll see what I can do."
As it turns out, I <i>did</i> get my shift covered, but by that time I'd been up for 30 hours, I'd learned that it was sposta get down to -40something that night, and my boss was apparently gearing up for a night out at the local lesbian bar (apparently she thought that would bother me or something). So, in the end, I stayed home and slept.
I rock hard.
