the Kiss
time drips from slit veins like blood
lost moments pooling into ages
I see the colors shifting beneath your skin
the withered yellow love
the purple flowering pain
I hunger to drain your heartbreak
blood has a warmth meant to be shared
in a lovers embrace
in a soul shattered kiss
yet how common
to see such moments wasted
as years continue to bead
coating ashes upon my tongue
flesh can be so cold
Id rather taste warmth
as it spills across my lips
embracing the empty shell that remains
forcing it to shamble on
I can but see it as a gift of mercy
to stop the heart before love does
nothing left but eternal pale grey
love is never immortal

This is the first time I've ever posted one of my poems online, which I wrote way back when I was into roleplaying vampires. It's been copywrited, but never published.

Yay! You have favorites now! Good job. Now how about a new journal?

Why do I start all my sentences with the letter Y?
