Another month, another blog entry. Just seems to be the way things go.

Maybe it's because I write all day that I find the world of the blogosphere so bland. Could I liken it to how someone who has a swimming pool that rarely takes advantage of the oasis in their backyard?

Perhaps it's that I prefer not to trouble people with the woes of my day-to-day existence -- Or that it's not that exciting.

Speaking of my days, my opinion of journalism continues to sour with each day I make the trip across the bridge. Driving the hour to and from work only to cover stories and communities I feel no passion for or connection to has increasingly taken its toll on my attitude.

The people at the office are nice enough. They're really not an issue, but at the same time they are. See, I work Tuesday through Saturday every week while the rest of the staff works Monday through Friday save for one girl who does Sunday to Thursday.

I'm writing now more than I ever have before, but again, the passion isn't there.

Maybe it's because Dad died the week I started there. Maybe because I can't have my hockey as much as I could at my last paper. Who knows.

Can I see myself working a 9 to 5?

Not really.

Can I see myself working at the same paper much longer.

Not really.

I think my frustration also is rooted in me not getting any.
