Been a while....
Thursday marked a month since Dad passed. Made for an interesting Thanksgiving.
Worked all day at the paper, finally getting to sit down to a quiet dinner around 7 instead of our normal 2 or 3. Still adjusting to sitting at the head of the table, but Mom said it was time. Besides, she's not about ceremony or leaving an empty spot at the table.
She took my Oma's spot at dinner after she passed because she's the oldest of her siblings.
So it's quiet here. The tv is on the fritz, so the radio has been getting a workout. Workouts aren't something I've been able to pull off lately. For some reason, I just can't get on the bike. Maybe it's the weather. Maybe it's work. Maybe it's everything.
I'll be in Trenton for a game this Sunday and then Reading the following Wednesday. Good to get back out on the ice.
On a happier note, I managed to snag BossToneS Throwdown tickets for their final afternoon show the day before New Years Eve. Been waiting years to see this show. It's been quite a while since they played live and will be show 59 for me. Or is it 60? Guess I'll have to count the stubs.

Here's hoping you and your family have a peaceful holiday. Its going to be rough, but you'll get though it. I'd suggest avoiding the mall. Its annoying on a good day, but the whole atmosphere is still overwhelming to me, and my mom has been gone two year. I can barely make it through a shopping expedition without crying. I do all my Christmas shopping online. Most people don't really understand why I do that....I don't really try explaining why anymore, its not really worth it unless they've been through it. The outside world can really be heartbreaking at times, even when it doesn't mean to.
