I'm definitely feeling anxiety right now.
I haven't held a "real job" in two years and have worked on my own and done just fine.
But I have an opportunity to maybe get a job which would mean a more regular paycheck. And I have an interview on Thursday.
However, it's been a while since I dressed in "dress up" clothes - shirt, slacks and a tie. Even to meetings, I normally just wear nicer jeans or khakis and a henley.
And I've gained weight since the last time I had to dress up. So I have one shirt that sort of fits, meaning it's pretty tight around the middle, not comfortable.
I have a pair of slacks that will work, but I dread tucking a shirt in and wearing a belt. It makes me feel even fatter when my belly is hanging over my belt.
I'm excited about the job opportunity. But nervous and depressed about what to wear to it and how I'll look. I guess I shold have just lost weight while I was not needing to dress up so that I look good in dress-up clothes.
Not to mention that I truly believe that I wouldn't have been laid off from my job two years ago if I was thin and good-looking. Something about being big, people don't think you are as capable.
Sorry about the party-pooper message, I'm just really having one of my down days.
