At the begining of June we will get our first heat wave and that's when the hate in the air will start to swell. Every year in June here there are always murders on the News, usually the destructive climax of road rage. People start to act like desperate rabid rats in a hot cage. I hate the Summers here. People start acting extra crazy and extra violent.
Last year my friend got screamed at about 3 times in a week while she was driving. Traffic was backed up and she got stuck in the intersection (a mortal sin in driving) people with the green light were so enraged at this they flipped her off with both hands and screamed "Fuck you, you fucking cunt!", blood spitting out of their mouths and everything. People are so impatient and feel so important.
My city has the highest rating of pedestrians getting hit by cars and the drivers fleeing from the scene of the accident. This makes me a bit nervous, being that I don't have a car. I mostly walk and sometimes ride my bike. I just keep my wits about me and I've learned how to read drivers' minds.
