HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY EVERYONE!!
a day that academia claims as evidence to prove that women have some agency in the world. its crap if you ask me, but its an excuse for universities all over the country to hold panel discussions, film screenings, lectures, and book signings. and for this reason i'll refrain from complaining about the utterly useless symbolism behind a day like this. and do you know why??
..because i am a student and i have no money, and all these events are free and fully catered!
so, three cheers for the exclusive bubble that academia lives in. if the "great minds" of this country didn't come up with entire schools of thought based on abstract theory, completely out of touch with reality and actual working people, i wouldn't be getting a free lunch today
