Ok, I admit it... I've been avoiding SG. But for a good reason. I met with London on saturday to do an informal interview to be a local model for SG, and also to see whether or not Missy wants her to test shoot me. (For those of you that dont know, I applied as a remote model before I moved to Portland, but my sets were rejected - and rightfully so, because they royally sucked!) I've been anticipating their response, but I thought it best to try not to think about it. Alas, not being on SG makes it alot easier. So yeah. Thats what I'm doing. Not thinking about it. But you should still keep your fingers crossed for me.
Now on to something completely different.
Some dude told me yesterday that I had a 'European-souding' accent, which he then elaborated that it must have been the combination of Nevada and New England. How the fuck that comes out to be European I really can't grasp.
I went shopping yesterday and found a coffee table with two end tables for $50 (I'm so stoked!). Shortly afterwards, I went to the Hot Box in Beaverton and bought a beautiful black and purple tapestry for our bedroom wall. We put it up, then added the two end tables - it looks fantastic! I couldn't be more pleased. I love my house. I love Oregon. I have to say, in my one month in Portland, I've never felt so at home. It's so beautiful here...the sunset yesterday was breathtaking - most of them are. When you can see the sky, anyway. I've missed the West Coast so much. Plus I have beer - and lots of it! Presently, life is pretty good...
All I need now is a job...
