I awoke today to an exciting phone call about an employment opportunity in which I had been searching for quite some time now. Decent pay, full time, not my life's aspiration but hey it sounded good for the time being.
Everythings taken care of, we're good to go. Low and behold my memory starts to work again! I forgot to mention my 10 day vacation with my mom for Christmas! I call back, exciting phone call turns into dissapointing phone call. "I'm sorry, If I would have known before I would not have offered you the position. Unfortunately that is a very crucial time, so we cannot offer you the position at this time." Well shit. I seem to have forgotten that money needs to rise above all things. Including the $300 you shit out for a plane ticket.
